April Town Hall Wrap Up

Hubble Protocol just held another monthly Community Town Hall live event on Discord. During these Town Halls, we invite all of our users (and anyone who would like to become a user!) to join us for updates and open discussion about the present, past, and future of Hubble.

Hubble Protocol just held another monthly Community Town Hall live event on Discord. During these Town Halls, we invite all of our users (and anyone who would like to become a user!) to join us for updates and open discussion about the present, past, and future of Hubble.

The Town Hall Started with Hubble Updates

During this month's event, around thirty users attended the forum, which was led by Marius and several members of the Hubble Protocol team. The Town Hall kicked off with updates on the new UI, which launched on the same day, and continued with some information on how Hubble is progressing with the addition of new types of collateral.

Marius also touched on the removal of Recovery Mode and adding something like notifications to the protocol to warn users about LTV (essentially a decentralized margin call).

What Happened During Solana Miami?

Solana Miami was the second major conference attended by the Hubble team. It was a long week meeting people face-to-face for the first time, and there were a lot of interesting things to learn.

We met with Anatoly (the Co-Founder of Solana) twice, and we talked about Hubble. He wanted to know Hubble's plans, and he told us he envisioned a strong ecosystem of decentralized stablecoins on Sol, which puts Hubble in a good position at the moment as one of the first of its kind on the network.

Updates on Business and Forum Development

Hubble is focusing on increasing partnerships and use cases for USDH. To that effect, USDH pairs are expected to go live on Raydium, Orca, and Coin98 in the near future, and we are increasing our focus on institutional players outside the ecosystem as well.

Recently, USDH went live on Solend in two pools, the Stable Pool and the Coin98 Pool. Watch out for integrations with Slope Wallet soon!

Looking inward, Hubble has been working on a forum to hold DAO-like discussions for a long time. Now, the forum is ready to go live as step one towards creating a framework for community governance.

The forum had a soft launch with some strong members of the Hubble community, and now it will go fully public. Some topics already under discussion on the forum include removing Recovery Mode, onboarding new collateral, and feedback about the protocol.

The Community Joins the Conversation

Throughout the Town Hall community members were asked to join the conversation. At the end of the call, questions that were fielded in text or asked by users themselves were answered.

Questions ranged from new integrations with other Solana projects like Tulip and Francium and what partnerships Hubble was excited to have lined up for the future.

Two questions focusing on the dApp surfaced where one user asked about protecting positions during oracle failures, and another asked when users could expect to start earning yield on collateral.

Hubble will hold these meetings every month, and everyone is invited to join. The Town Halls will always be scheduled a month apart, and they will be heavily advertised in advance.

Make sure you make the next Hubble Town Hall and participate in the future of USDH, Hubble, and DeFi on Solana! Building a community and listening to that community will be a huge part of Hubble's success, and we can't wait to see new faces in May!
